Dipesh Patel is the founder of Pattern, an architectural
practice that focuses on how patterns are not only
decorative but also a culturally meaningful part of
architecture. Light and pattern both play a major
role in Patel’s projects, such as the Hazza Bin Zayed
Stadium in the UAE, below.

Dean Skira is a Croatian lighting and
luminaire designer with over 20 years’
experience and a raft of international
awards to his name. One of Skira’s best
known projects is the ‘Cranes’, in Pula,
Croatia, which changed the shipping
cranes at the Uljanik Shipyard into a
moving lit art installation.
